The Official Site for the Ojai Independence Day Committee, Ojai, CA

The annual Ojai Independence Day Celebration, established in 1962,  maintains a long standing
tradition of honoring our nation's independence.  The Committee establishes its mission by
carrying out our mandate to have a patriotic observance in Ojai, California that can best
exemplify our National Heritage.

The purpose of this Committee is to formulate, prepare, and carry out all plans for the annual
Independence Day celebration.  The directors of the Committee are all volunteers.  The
presiding Chairperson for the 2007 celebration is
Nancy Hill Hinz.

Each year the Committee must raise approximately $40,000.00 for the celebration. We depend
on generous donations from the businesses and people of the Ojai Valley.  Several of our
activities on the 4th also generate moneys to partially support each venue.    If you would like to
support our celebration, please send your contribution to the Ojai Independence Day Committee,
P. O. Box 1176, Ojai, CA  93024.

A nation's birthday spreads afar -
                                        Across the country
                                        And around the world.
But let it be for each of us
                                        A part of home
                                        For each little street
Familiar ways we know by heart.
