Ojai's Old Fashioned 4th of July Parade, July 4, 2008, 10:00am
Ojai's Old Fashioned 4th of July Parade is an annual
event  that consists of 60-75 entries.  The number of
spectators range from 6,000 to 8,000 people.  Parade
entries include marching bands, classic cars, floats,
equestrian entries, color guards and dignitaries.  The
heart of our parade is the participation of Ojai Valley's
children, in many different presentations. The effort of
local residences, organizations, churches, and
businesses are apparent as each one moves down
main street to the applause of parade watchers.

Distinctive trophies are awarded to 1st and 2nd place
winners in each category. There's a special award for
best depiction of theme, which is
Fourth of July
Memories
this year.

The parade is one of the three main events of Ojai's
Independence Day Celebration.  Additional events
include the July 3rd free evening concert at Libbey
Bowl, and a July 4th concert and extravagant half-hour
fireworks presentation at the Ojai Community Stadium,
located at Nordhoff High School.

Create

Ojai, California.
The Ojai Independence Day
Committee proudly organizes an old
fashioned patriotic parade, down
the main street of Ojai, California.

It is staffed entirely by conscientious
volunteers of the Ojai Valley with the
goal of promoting the celebration of
the USA's Independence Day via a
parade and fireworks celebration.
